His personal interests include walking medieval pilgrimage routes such as the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain, a trail from Florence to Assisi, and a path from London through East Anglia to the ancient medieval pilgrimage site of Walsingham. He has a soft spot for traditional red British telephone boxes and restored a K6 model from the 1930s, which is currently installed in the firm’s office. He also enjoys collecting fine and rare books, including collections as diverse as Oscar Wilde, the contemporary British artist and illustrator Ralph Steadman, heraldry, and British serial murderers.
